SmartPickup was founded in 2023 by a team of parents and technologists who experienced this problem firsthand. After watching a 20-minute pickup turn into a 45-minute ordeal — complete with double-parked cars, frustrated staff, and anxious children — the founders decided there had to be a better way.

We started by shadowing school administrators, talking to parents, and observing dismissal routines at dozens of schools. What we discovered was a problem ripe for a modern solution: schools were using paper lists, walkie-talkies, and hand signals to manage a process that could be transformed by smart technology.

Today, SmartPickup is the result of that journey — an all-in-one platform that uses intelligent scheduling, real-time GPS tracking, QR verification, and smart carpooling to turn dismissal from chaos into a smooth, safe, and efficient experience.
